Chris Proctor, winner of the U.S. National FingerstyleGuitar Championship, and popular Sugarhouse, Rounder, Flying Fish and WindhamHill recording artist will be performing in concert. An internationally recognized6 and 12-string guitarist, composer, recording artist, performer, and clinicianfor Taylor Guitars, Proctor has produced several books and videos that teachhis techniques and compositions for solo guitar, and writes extensively for theguitar press. He is touring to promote his new release and ninth solorecording, Ladybug Stomp, on SugarhouseRecords, and his new concert/interview DVD for Stefan Grossman’s Vestapol VideoGuitar Artistry series, Morning Thunder.
Chris Proctor is known around the western world as one ofthe modern masters of fingerstyle guitar, and is at the forefront ofcontemporary steel-string guitar. Since winning the National Fingerstyle Guitarcompetition, he has toured constantly in North America and Europe, releasing asteady stream of recordings of his compositions and arrangements. His music isrooted in classic Americana- spiced with folk, Celtic, jazz, pop, and classicalflavors, all of which are in evidence in the 12 finely-crafted original pieceswhich comprise Ladybug Stomp. His tworecent popular and critical hits, the Chris Proctor Collection, which reprises his first 25 years of writing, andUnder the Influence, a stunning set ofarrangements of the music that shaped his artistic development, are bestsellersamong acoustic guitar enthusiasts. He has appeared on two popular Windham HillGuitar Samplers and was senior clinician for Taylor Guitars for more thantwenty years. To honor him Taylor recently manufactured 100  "Chris Proctor SignatureModel" guitars to his unique design specifications.
