Charles Isherwood’s Broadway review of Elf for The New York Times began with the declaration that, “Insome remote corner of Santa’s kingdom up at the North Pole, elves are whistlingshow tunes as they work.” It’s with this cheery image that one can expect toenjoy a theatrical production based on the hit holiday movie which starred WillFerrell as a lovable, larger-than-life Buddy.
