GOVERNOR TO ANNOUNCE NEW STATE POET LAUREATE

WHO:              Governor Gary R. Herbert                        Julie Fisher, Executive Director of Community and Culture                        Margaret Hunt, Director of the Utah Arts Council                        Utah Arts Council Board Members
WHAT:            The Poet Laureate acts as the leading public advocate for the literary arts in Utah. The state established the Poet Laureate program in 1997 to raise the public profile of Utah’s literature and literary arts organizations.
