Randoms - Party Prep Style

- Where to begin... Oh how about with the fact that I've done almost nothing to get ready for Trent's party. Last week I worked until 11:00 more nights than I didn't, so a lot of the original plan had to change.
- I have practiced his cake. I didn't love it, but I think I figured out the tweaks I need to make.
- My hand hurt for almost 2 days after mixing icing forever on Sunday. Glad I made double!
- Our house is clean and the carpets are getting cleaned today.
- There will be no decorations except existing stuff we already have. Lame-o Mommy. (But my genius mother does say 'The more you put up, the more you have to take down'. And given some of the stuff I put up for his 2nd birthday stayed up for oh you know 9 months maybe this isn't such a bad thing!)
- My sis is coming over today to help plan the menu. With.no.children. It has been months since we have spent time together just the 2 of us. I am actually excited to go to the grocery store with her. On a Friday night. Just because it'll only be us!
- I'm hoping to squeeze in a pedicure. Because who doesn't need pretty toes when their baby boy turns 3?
- It's only supposed to be 91 tomorrow. I am ecstatic since it was 109 earlier in the week. I keep checking the weather forecast like a crazy person praying it doesn't go back up!
- Brent has been my hero this week. He made the yard look amazing (including planing new flowers), he picked up the house, cleaned the garage (where I made the mess), and lived with my pregnancy insanity which intensified this week with feeling like a mommy/wife loser. Thanks honey!
- We are so excited (including Trent) to party tomorrow!
Movie Review: MMMMMAAAAGGGIIIICCCCC MIKE!

My Sunday consisted of the usual...church, battle over naptime...and oh, you know, Magic Mike!!
{via}
Plot (as if it needed one): A male stripper teaches a younger performer how to party, pick up women, and make easy money. {via}
Review: Well, as soon as the movie ended, a friend said 'Less plot, more stripping.' Ha. I think that summed it up for us though. It was super fun, but it actually had more of a plot than we though it would. We had a great time going, the theatre was 99.9% girls (while the entire waitstaff was male, which was hysterical) which made for a few cat calls and lots of laughing. Overall I loved going, but it won't win any awards and I think should have tried a little less hard to be a 'real' movie. Know what your strengths are and stick to it, ;)

Trent's 3rd Birthday Party

We had a great time celebrating Trent's birthday on Saturday. After Blair's birthday, Trent informed me that he wanted a garbage truck birthday cake. And from there, a theme was born. Um, okay. Not the easiest cake to try and make, but this mama was game! I found a dump truck pan that I modified a smidge, and T gave me the garbage truck he wanted it to look like (Biffy).
Voila! Biffy, the garbage truck birthday cake!
I was pretty darn proud of that cake. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to decorate. You can see below the practice cake and the few tweaks I made. You can also see the inspiration of Biffy. I think I came pretty close in the final product. {grin}

We also had dirt cake in a dump truck. Super fun. And a delicious breakfast the next day!
I also decorated around the house with his toy trucks. There were trucks on the mantle, end tables, food table, bar...he has A LOT of trucks!
Trent got it that it was his party and his presents. And he had a blast opening them. I would say 75% of what he got was some form of a truck. He was SO happy!

Time to sing. Don't you love his shirt? We have this book, 'I Stink!' about a garbage truck, and I found the shirt!!{Ignore my outfit, I got peed on by a 4 mo old and had to change!}
Hours to decorate, seconds to destroy and enjoy! But with a face like that, I could care less.
We also tried a grandkid photo. This was the best we could get.
Happy birthday, T! We love you!!

Not What I Was Expecting

Trent has always been 'strong willed' and 'high spirited'. Lately, though, it has been much more than that. He is getting more aggressive, harder to control, and nap/bedtimes are a disaster. I blame the sleep difficulties on him losing his night-night. Maybe all of it. Because he was addicted, and his night-night helped soothe him when he was upset or tired. I finally decided things were spiraling to where Brent and I didn't know what to do (and both fully admitted and said that).
So I called my psychiatrist. I prepared a list of things I wanted to discuss. I went through my entire list rapid fire. And the first words out of Dr. Maynard's mouth? 'These descriptions sound like classic ADD symptoms'.
WHAT?
I was completely not expecting to hear that.
Trent is too young to be diagnosed, and he hasn't been evaluated, but even hearing this was a total shock to me. I might have cried (pregnancy hormones don't help).
We talked a lot about things to do with his outbursts and trouble sleeping. (Anyone else had the pleasure of pinning their child to the floor? I say the Hail Mary over and over again. It is horrible.) We have phrases to use on him repeatedly about him controlling his own body. We have some new homeopathic supplements to try to help him calm down and dietary changes to make. 3 days in and we aren't really seeing much change. But we're not giving in. Trent has his 3 year well-check in a few weeks, so we'll also talk to his pediatrician.
You don't want your kid to be different, even if it's minor. You don't want your kid to have challenges. So needless to say, it's been an interesting week!

"Beautiful Eyes" by Alice Ripley
To contact us Click HERE
There is no one else quite like Alice Ripley in this world. Anyone who saw her Tony award winning performance as the grieving, bipolar housewife Diana Goodman in Next to Normal knows that she is an exceptionally talented actress to say the least. Alice gave 100% of herself to the portrayal of that character, and delivered an emotionally charged performance that will be talked about for years to come. Alice Ripley has given us another reason to love her with her new original single, “Beautiful Eyes” released on February 21. “Beautiful Eyes” is a jazzy, story-telling number that could easily be mistaken for a showtune. I can just see Alice back onstage at the Booth (or any theatre for that matter) with an orchestra pit in front of her and an ensemble of dancers behind her, performing this song. While the story and lyrics are a bit curious and will likely be interpreted differently by each individual, they are also quirky and kind of fun! The melodies are memorable and hummable, and will likely get stuck in your head (in a good way!). I love the sound of Alice’s voice in this song. It fits her voice so well. After seeing her in Next to Normal twice and listening to the cast recording endless times, it’s also great to hear her sing something new, fresh, and original! The Verdict: Buy Alice Ripley’s new single, “Beautiful Eyes” on iTunes for just $0.99!!!! You will love it. And let’s hope Alice puts out more singles!

The Addams Family Tour

March 20,2012Providence Performing Arts Center
The Addams Family tour has arrived at the Providence Performing Arts Center now through Sunday, March 25th! The Broadway production of The Addams Family (starring Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth) ran for almost two years, closing on December 31, 2011 after a successful run. Though the show received mostly negative reviews, only two Tony nominations, and did not even perform at the Tony’s, it was a fan favorite. The touring production has been revamped with new songs and new story-lines... and after seeing the original version on Broadway in 2010 and now the new version, I am confident in stating that the show has been changed for the better. Let me start by saying that the Broadway production of The Addams Family was not nearly as bad as the reviews portrayed it. If I remember correctly, Ben Brantley of the NYTimes termed it “ghastly”. There were parts of the show that I remember thinking were corny or shallow or a little far-fetched, but it was funny and entertaining overall. With that said, the revised production is far better! The story-line is more cohesive and easy to follow. The changes to the story-line make for a better plot. For example, Morticia does not know of Wednesday’s engagement in the revised production, which causes tension between her and Gomez. In the original Broadway production, Morticia’s story-line seemed to revolve around her obsession with getting older. One would expect a “juicier” plot and more character development for the female lead of a musical. I’m also very glad they got rid of the pet squid. I was never a fan of the pet squid that kidnaps Mal Beineke. One change I wish they had made was giving Grandma more scenes... or even better, a song. A Grandma song would have a lot of comedic potential. The highlight of the show was the performance of Douglas Sills as Gomez. He really nailed it with great comedic timing and stage presence. Sara Gettelfinger was good as the dark and dry Morticia. Cortney Wolfson as Wednesday sings two of my favorite songs in the show- “Pulled” and “Crazier Than You”. She had a great voice. Speaking of good voices, Patrick D. Kennedy as Pugsley was also vocally impressive. Blake Hammond as Uncle Fester was charming! The entire cast was solid. The sets and costumes were reminiscent of the comic strip origin of The Addams Family. The score offers many genres of music from pop to Spanish to the traditional showtune. There’s something in it for everyone and it’s definitely appropriate for the school-age child. The Verdict: Go see The Addams Family at PPAC if you want to see something funny and entertaining for all age groups.

Off-Broadway
Lucille Lortel Theatre
March 10, 2012 matinee performance
Background: The original Broadway production of Carrie opened in 1988 and ran for five performances before closing despite sold out performances. Now a revamped, re-imagined production of Carrie is running off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. The first thing that sparked my interest in the new production of Carrie was a cast of familiar names. Marin Mazzie... need I say more? Christy Altomare... Wendla in the Spring Awakening tour. Carmen Cusack... Elphaba in the Wicked tour and Nellie in the South Pacific tour. Then, I noticed that the “re-imagined” Carrie was getting a lot of press and I started thinking, how exactly are they going to portray a horror movie on stage? I became curious... and then kind of excited at the possibility of seeing something different and unique. Then, I watched the movie for the first time and became REALLY curious... Synopsis: Carrie White is a 17-year old misfit who has been bullied by cruel classmates for her entire life. Raised by an overprotective, religious fanatic mother, Carrie has known little outside of the Holy Bible when she realizes that she possesses telekinetic powers. Carrie tells the story of a girl struggling to break free of her mother’s firm grasp and fit in, but this ultimately has devastating results. Comments: I was pleasantly surprised by Carrie. It was a wonderful show and not at all what I expected. I was expecting something over the top... gory... messy...macabre. The book WAS written by Stephen King after all. But what struck me the most about Carrie the musical is that it’s really NOT a horror story at all. It has more to do with human nature, relationships, and of course, the consequences of bullying and religious oppression, which is very much relevant in society today with all of the violence in schools. The cast was excellent. Molly Ranson was amazing as the title character. First of all, she has a beautiful singing voice. Everything about her acting- her demeanor, her mannerisms, her speech, her facial expressions- was believable. One of my favorite scenes was at the end of Act I when Carrie threatens her mother and then proceeds to eat her pie. Eerily funny and brilliant. Marin Mazzie has taken on another demanding role just a year after completing a Broadway run as Diana in Next to Normal, and as expected, she was amazing. Her performance was completely authentic as Carrie’s controlling, desperate, fanatical mother. She somehow succeeds in not portraying Margaret as too loathsome, but rather as a mother looking out for what she believes is best for her daughter. In a very skewed way, of course. Playing the role of Sue Snell, the mean-turned-nice girl who sacrifices her prom for Carrie’s benefit, is Christy Altomare. This character takes on the role of narrator, guiding the story forward and Christy does this very well, making the character both likable and relatable for the audience. She is perfect at portraying this kind, sweet, guilt-ridden character, whose actions unintentionally backfire. Carmen Cusack provided a lot of comic relief as the gym teacher, Miss Gardner. Jeanna de Waal had a wonderful voice and gave a great performance of “The World According to Chris”. Derek Klena as Tommy was charmingly cute and Ben Thompson as Billy also provided comic relief! I was very impressed with the supporting cast. The Verdict: Forget what you think you know about Carrie and go check out this “re-imagined” musical at the Lucille Lortel Theatre before April 8th. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. P.S. This show is completely worthy of a cast recording...

Mark your calendars for April 9 – May 5, 2013 because theFox Cities Performing Arts Center’s most requested Broadway musical will be back at the Fox Cities P.A.C.!It’s been almost five years since Disney's The Lion King first delighted audiences inNortheast Wisconsin with its amazing stagecraft, and next spring 18 trucks willonce again roll into town with the makings of a show you’ll never forget.
To many, staging The Lion King seemed impossible. The epicconflict between lions worked beautifully in animated film – but onstage? ButWalt Disney Chairman Michael Eisner and Disney Theatrical Producers PeterSchneider and Thomas Schumacher believed in the power of The Lion King’s story. They turned to Julie Taymor, a director anddesigner well known for mythical staging inspired by international theatricalforms. Taymor was excited by the challenge.
“When I looked at the film… I said to myself, what isworking in this film for me? What’s the most daunting challenge? That’s what Ilike to do – the sheer fact that it’s very hard to do is a great challenge tome.”
The Lion King isunique in that we see how the magic works onstage. There’s no attempt to coverup the wheels and cogs that make it all happen. The human beings that controlthe puppets and wear the animal masks are fully seen. As an audience member at The Lion King, you have an importantjob: with your imagination, you are invited to mix the “animal” with the humaninto a magical whole. Heirloom Tomato Galette
To contact us Click HERE
Hi, Everybody! Happy Weekend! We have a four day weekend here and I couldn't be happier! It's beautiful and sunny outside and for once, we don't have plans to do anything or go anywhere all weekend! What a great feeling! There is a farm right down the road from us that has its own little shop where they sell their flowers, fruits and vegetables (they also sell their own ice-cream that's oh-so-good!) and as soon as I saw these beautiful heirloom tomatoes there today, I knew exactly what I was going to use them for! This Heirloom Tomato Galette is absolutely delicious, and the perfect summer meal! It's light and fresh, and really quick and easy to make! And besides being really good, it also looks so pretty with all the red, orange and yellow tomatoes! Paired with a great salad, a slice of this galette makes for a great summer lunch! Here is my recipe...
HEIRLOOM TOMATO GALETTE*Serves 4 - 6*YOU WILL NEED:
PASTRY:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbs unsalted butter, diced
3 tbs ice water
FILLING:
4 large tomatoes (use a variety), thinly sliced
6 slices Mozzarella cheese
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbs olive oil
DIRECTIONS:1. Start off by making your pastry. Mix together the flour and salt, then add in the diced butter (make sure that it's cold) and mix until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Then begin adding the ice water, one tablespoon at a time, and mix until a dough forms. Wrap the dough up in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
2. While the dough is chilling, preheat your oven to 425deg F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Next, take the dough out and roll it out into a 13-inch circle. Transfer it onto your baking sheet. Arrange the Mozzarella cheese slices on top of your dough, leaving a 1.5 inch border around the edges. Next, arrange your thinly sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese, then fold the pastry border over the tomatoes. Sprinkle with salt and dried oregano, and drizzle with olive oil. Brush the pastry with olive oil. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the tomatoes are bubbling and the pastry is golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with salad.

Happy June!

Happy June, Everyone! I'm so excited that the summer is almost here! Although I'm dreading the heat and humidity that it brings with it, I can't wait for the summer to officially start! Trips to the beach, traveling, eating lots of ice-cream and those beautiful summer nights...! Here's what the end of spring has looked like here...
My new favorite ice-cream flavor: Sweet & Salty Caramel Pretzel! They make this ice-cream at a farm shop down the road from us, and it is DELICIOUS! Nothing like ending a long, hot day with a cup of this ice-cream!
After making my Heirloom Tomato Galette, I made another one, this time an Apple and Caramelized Galette with Goat Cheese. It was so easy to make and those flavors worked really well together. I love anything with goat cheese!
I love getting mail, and since my friends are scattered all around the world, it makes getting letters and packages even more fun! One of my best friends recently moved to Thailand, and this is what I got in the mail the other day! How cute is that cat stationery!?
As soon as I got the May issue of Martha Stewart Living, I knew I had to try the Swirl Meringue Cookies that were on the cover! I was so excited because they looked so cute, and so one night after I got home from work, I decided to give them a try. What (for some crazy reason) looked like an easy recipe turned into a disaster, and my meringues (picture on the left) look nothing like Martha's (picture on the right). I'm not giving up though, and will give them a try some other time again - how cute would these be in red and white with a peppermint flavor for Christmas!
And finally, because everyone needs a little sparkle in their life! My new favorite nail color with some added glitter! (Paint nails, sprinkle glitter on top, then pain with a coat of clear nail polish!)
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
Raspberry Lemon Loaf

Hi, Everyone! This Raspberry Lemon Loaf that I'm sharing with you today is one of my absolute favorite things to bake! It's super quick and easy to make, and has such great flavor from the lemon juice and zest, and the addition of the fresh raspberries! It's deliciously moist thanks to the yogurt that's used, and the syrup that's poured over the finished loaf! If you've never made this loaf before, you should really give it a try! Happy Baking, Everyone!
RASPBERRY LEMON LOAF(Adapted from Ina Garten)*Makes 1 loaf*YOU WILL NEED:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup plain yogurt (I used fat free)
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
Grated zest of one lemon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup vegetable oil
6oz (about 1 1/2 cups) fresh raspberries
Syrup:
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

DIRECTIONS:1. In your electric mixer bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. In another, smaller bowl, whisk together yogurt, 1 cup of sugar, eggs, lemon zest and vanilla. With the mixer running, begin adding the wet ingredients to the dry, until you have a smooth mixture. Then, using a spatula, fold in oil.
2. Preheat your oven to 350deg F and line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Sprinkle your raspberries with about 1/2 tbs of all-purpose flour and toss gently, so they are all coated (this is so that they don't stick all together in the batter). Add them to the batter, make sure you stir them in very gently and carefully so they don't fall apart.
3. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 50 - 60 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let rest for 10 minutes.
4. While the loaf is resting, make your syrup. In a little pan, heat up 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup lemon juice. Stir constantly, until the sugar has dissolved, just for a couple of minutes. Then, pour the syrup over the loaf and let it soak in, this will make it wonderfully flavorful and moist!

Cocoa Hazelnut Macarons with Buttercream Filling
To contact us Click HERE
Hi, Everybody! Happy Weekend! Yet another busy week has gone by, and I'm so happy that the weekend is here again! I wanted to share these Cocoa Hazelnut Macarons with you today; you see, macarons have been like my culinary Mount Everest, an unattainable feat. I have tried making them unsuccessfully before and have been so intimidated ever since, but have finally decided to give them a try again! The result? Well, let's just say much better than the last time! These aren't quite the classic Parisian macarons as they use ground hazelnuts instead of almond flour, but I really liked the sound of the recipe, and they turned out pretty well! They are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and the cocoa and hazelnut flavors work really well together! Here's what I did...
COCOA HAZELNUT MACARONS *Makes about 20 Macarons*
(Recipe from Better Homes and Gardens)YOU WILL NEED:
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1 cup finely ground hazelnuts
2 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup granulated sugar
Dash of salt
DIRECTIONS:1. In your electric mixer bowl, combine the egg whites, vanilla and salt. Beat until frothy, then, with the mixer running, add the granulated sugar in three parts. Beat on high speed for a couple of minutes, until stiff glossy white peaks form.
2. In a smaller bowl, combine ground hazelnuts, powdered sugar and cocoa. Very gently stir this mixture into the egg white mixture. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and fill a decorating bag with the macaron mixture (you will need about a 1/2 inch decorating tip). Pipe 1 1/2 inch circles onto your parchment paper lined baking sheets, leaving about an inch between the circles. Let them sit for about a half hour, then bake at 325deg F for 8 - 9 minutes.
*Notes - I made a simple buttercream filling for the macarons, but you could definitely use a chocolate or even a Nutella filling here. I wasn't sure why my macaron shells cracked, so I looked it up and found out that humidity has a significant effect on this. And since it's super hot and humid outside, I guess it's possible!

Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread
To contact us Click HERE
Hi, Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! We've had some terrible storms here in New Jersey over the past couple of days, but thankfully didn't lose power as many other people did. One of my favorite things about the summer are the beautifully warm nights, but so far this year it has just been super hot and humid! My husband and I have been going out for walks almost every night when it hasn't been raining, and when we stepped outside tonight, it was so humid you almost couldn't even breathe! It's been a busy summer so far, so at the beginning of every week I try to make something that will last through the week and that I can just quickly grab for breakfast. I made this Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread a couple of days ago that I love for breakfast (it would be SO good with some apple butter or even made as French toast!), and wanted to share it with you today! There's nothing like the warm smell of cinnamon drifting through the house as something delicious is baking in the oven. It's just so comforting and reassuring, and always reminds me of the cinnamon rolls that my mom makes. I love how different smells can instantly bring back happy memories! This bread is soft, sweet and so delicious! Here's the recipe...
CINNAMON RAISIN SWIRL BREAD(Adapted from The Pioneer Woman)*Makes 1 Loaf*YOU WILL NEED:
BREAD:
1 cup milk (I used fat free)
6 tbs unsalted butter, softened
1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
2 eggs
1/3 cup granulated sugar
4 cups all-purpose flour (use more if the dough is too wet)
1 tsp salt
FILLING:
2 tbs ground cinnamon
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup raisins
EGG WASH:
1 egg yolk
1 tbs milk

DIRECTIONS:1. In a small saucepan, heat together butter and milk, until the butter melts, but the mixture doesn't come to a boil. Take it off the heat and sprinkle in the yeast. Cover with a kitchen towel and set aside for 10 minutes.
2. Next, beat together the eggs and sugar. With the mixer running, pour in the yeast mixture. Sprinkle in the salt. With the mixer on medium speed, begin adding the flour, cup by cup, until the dough forms a ball. If the dough is too wet, just add more flour. Attach the dough hook attachment to your mixer, and knead the dough for 10 minutes. Then, take the dough out, and place in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place for at least an hour.
3. Once the dough has had time to rise, turn it out onto a floured surface and roll it out into a rectangle (the bread will be baked in a loaf pan, so the width of the rectangle should be the length of the loaf pan, and the length of the rectangle should be about 18 to 24 inches). Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over the rectangle. Sprinkle with raisins. (You could also drip melted butter over the rectangle but I wanted to avoid the calories and skipped this step! Don't worry, the bread is just as buttery and delicious!)
4. Roll the dough tightly starting at one end and pinching the seam at the end to make sure none of the filling comes out! Place it in a buttered loaf pan (or parchment paper lined), cover it and let it rise for another hour and a half to two hours.
5. Preheat your oven to 350deg F and make an egg wash for the bread by combining one egg yolk with 1 tbs of milk. Brush the bread with the egg wash, then bake for 30 - 40 minutes.

McNally Master Work To Be Revived On Broadway
Tyne Daly is set to return to Broadway this May as the late great soprano Maria Callas in the first Great White Way revival of Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning Best Play from 1996, Master Class.
Daly received accolades when she performed in this new Stephen Wadsworth-helmed revival first staged at Washington's Kennedy Center earlier this year. Since only a casting notice has been issued for Broadway, there is no further word at this time as to which, if any, of Daly's DC co-stars may make the transfer.
While Playbill has stated that the production will arrive on Broadway in late May -- too late for 2011 Tony nomination consideration -- it has only surmised that the play will be housed at Manhattan Theatre Club's (MTC) Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. There has been no confirmation by MTC.
The Kennedy Center described their 2010 production as follows:
Under Leonard Foglia's direction, Master Class first played Broadway in a lengthy 598 performance run, opening at the John Golden Theatre November 5, 1995, and closing June 29, 1997. Zoe Caldwell earned Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her turn as the opera diva. Audra McDonald won a Tony for her portrayal as Sharon, while Karen Kay Cody earned a Theatre World Award as Sophie -- her only Broadway credit. Other cast members included David Loud, Jay Hunter Morris and Michael Friel.
The $64,000 question is whether a revival presented as part of a subscription series (meaning it would have a limited run) and that opens after this season's Tony nomination cutoff will even be remembered a year later for the 2012 Tonys. If Daly provides a Master Class in acting, it just might have a shot.

The Kennedy Center described their 2010 production as follows:
Tony winner for Best Play, Master Class stars Emmy and Tony Award–winning actress Tyne Daly as Maria Callas. The play is a portrait of the opera diva told through her recollections of the glories, triumphs, and tragedies of her own life and career. Her voice is gone, her lover is long departed, and her sanity could possibly be next. All she has is a lonely itinerary of master classes and luggage packed full of the memories that are her only travel companion. Her students are the hapless targets of her sharp tongue, while she remains the picture of innocent aristocracy. Master Class shows that while the actress may have left the stage, she will never give up her audience. As part of its promotion of the revival, the Kennedy Center offered the following video presentation with McNally:
