Catch Me If You Canis a flashy new musical following the true-life story of a young con artistnamed Frank Abangale, Jr. As a teenager, Frank ran away from home, and by 21,he had written millions of dollars of forged checks. As if that wasn’t badenough, Frank passed himself off as an airline pilot, a lawyer and even adoctor. It didn’t take long to draw the attention of F.B.I. agent Carl Hanrattywho pursued him with a Javert-like intensity.
Based on the 2002 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and TomHanks, the Catch Me If You Can is brought to life by much of the same creativeteam behind the Broadway hit Hairspray.There’s sixties style, fun excitement, and a story that, as Frank describes it,has “more curves than a Playboy bunny.”
